I HAVE THE POWER!!!

I HAVE THE POWER!!!

I have mixed feelings about anything from harbor freight.  I had just bought there Jupiter Power inverter 3000 watt to use.  So, the first thing is that reading the destructions (ha-ha) they tell you what size cable is to be used when installing the unit.  It is in your best interest to follow the directions.

I installed the cables per instructions with one add on I solder the connections and the used liquid tape to seal them. The spot I used to mount the device was the back floorboard on the driver’s side. Because the cables that I bought where only so long. With the vehicle running I started to plug in the accessories i.e. Laptop and charging box for a DeWalt drill. Avery thing worked as advertised. After about a half hour I was filling the unit and the heat off it was a little warm for my liking, so I mounted a wooden box under it to elevate off the floor of the automobile.

Next, I wanted to put it through a test as I plugged in a microwave and placed a glass of water in it set it to 5 mins and let it rip.  To my surprise it held up well. The heat from the unit was about the same as with the laptop and charger unit.  So, I went and got the coffee pot and plugged in the coffee pot and the microwave and still to my surprise all went well. The cables became a little warm to the touch but overall, I would recommend this to anyone wanting four 110v outlet plugs for in their automobile. So, for once Harbor Freight got it right and the price was reasonable compared to other choices. Note to all use it with the vehicle running it will discharge the vehicle battery fast.
