Lucky coon

Lucky coon

The wife and I stopped by one of our friends house last night to have some beers and catch up. It has been lone time since we sat down and had good times with these people do to, we all work and the summertime we are all busy.  So, we pulled in the driveway and one of five of their kids where not feeling well so they warned us before we walk in. we did not care people get sick and will continue to get sick. So, we all sat down and started having some cocktails talking about the up-and-coming hunting season in Michigan.

We all where have a go old time laughing.  When we heard a noise at the front door of there house and they just ignored it.  After about 5 minutes I ask what was making all the racked. I was a little floored by what was said, and I had to ask twice just to be sure.  There pet raccoon was wanting in. they had just broke him as a house pet. What your tried to domesticate a coon I asked. They replied yes this summer the mother got ran over by a vehicle and the kids found it roaming around the yard. It was about a couple of days old, and the kids took right to him. So they let in there house trained it to use a cat little box and feed it dog food.

In three months, this thing grow up to be 25 pounds and about three foot tall.  The oldest daughter went to the door and put the coon on her shoulder to bring it inside to show us how tamed it was. Straight to the dog food bowl it went and pushed the dog out of the way on the way to the dish. After about 5 mins the coon was full and wanted to play so it went behind the couch and keep polking it head out in different spots. They told us that it was playing peek a boo. The mom and kids showed the coon how to play the game. After about 2 or 3 minutes the coon became mad no one was playing with him, so he started to growl and wine these weird noises. The mom picked the coon up by the back of this neck and put him outside. He went straight to the barn and used the cat box that they place there and laid down on a dog bed that was bought just him. Man, what a hard life.
